What we keep about you.

In plain words: what NEPSE Scanner stores, why, who else sees it, and how to ask us to delete it. Last updated 5 November 2026.

Who we are

NEPSE Scanner runs the website nepsescanner.com. For anything about this notice or your information, email [email protected].

When you make an account

  • Your username and email address.
  • Your password, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. Nobody, including us, can read it.
  • If you use Sign in with Google: the email address Google confirms and Google’s ID for your account. We never see your Google password.
  • When your account was made and when you last signed in.
  • A copy of your username and email in our sign-up records, so we can see how many people join.

What you choose to save

The companies you follow, the alerts you set, your saved presets and Stock Intelligence choice, chart layouts and drawings, notes, and anything you type into My money. My money holds only what you type in: we never connect to your broker or move any money.

When you use the site

  • Sign-in sessions: each time you sign in we record the IP address and the browser it came from, so a session can be seen and ended if your account is misused.
  • Security events: sign-ins, failed sign-ins, password changes and sign-outs, with the IP address they came from.
  • Usage: while you are signed in, each request records your username, which kind of page or feature it was (not what you searched for), the time and how long it took. These records are deleted after 90 days.
  • Server logs: like most websites, our server logs record the IP address, time and address of each request.

A guest visit (“Try it as a guest”) needs no account and asks for no personal details; nothing a guest does is saved to an account.

On your device

Your browser keeps your sign-in, your lesson progress and a copy of your Stock Intelligence choice. Signing out clears them. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

Who else sees it

  • Cloudflare sits in front of the site to deliver it and protect it from attacks, so it handles every request, including your IP address. It may also count page visits with its cookie-free Web Analytics.
  • Google, only if you choose Sign in with Google. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that step.
  • eSewa or Khalti, only if you ever pay through them. We keep a record of the payment (reference, amount and status); your wallet login and details stay with the payment provider.

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t share it for advertising. We would disclose it only if Nepali law required us to.

Why we keep it

To run your account and show you what you saved, to keep the site and your account secure, and to understand which pages people use so we can improve them.

How long we keep it

Accounts are not deleted automatically: when an account is closed it is switched off (deactivated) and its history is kept. Usage records are deleted after 90 days. Sign-in and security records are kept as a security record.

You can ask us to delete your personal information. Email [email protected] from the address on your account. We will remove your email address and what you saved, except records we must keep for security or payments.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. You can stop using NEPSE Scanner at any time.
